Meet the Staff from the Office of
Alan Mont, O. D.

 

Dr. Alan Mont is a graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry. He has practiced in Santa Monica for over twenty years and has continued the practice his father started over 40 years ago.

Dr. Mont specializes in family eyecare and the prescribing and mangement of contact lens fittings. The office strives to meet the needs of the entire family.

He is very active in his community having coached youth sports for over 10 years. He enjoys the interaction with youths and teaches through coaching basketball, baseball and roller hockey.

 

 

David is both a certified Optician of the American Board of Opticianary and a Contact Lens Technician licensed by the National Contact Lens Examiners. David has been associated with the optical field for almost 5 years. He's a dedicated professional who loves working with patients and helping with the selection of "just the right frames."

 
Lynn has been with our office for more than 10 years. Her face and voice are familiar to many of our patients. Lynn loves her position as "The Official Greeter" for the office and welcomes our patients as members of her extended family. She and her husband of 40 years have three grown sons and one adorable, fantastic grandson who they can never see enough of.

 

Gail started greeting the patients as the Receptionist in 1986, and has since filled many positions in the office. Besides attending to the bookkeeping and details of office adminstration, she serves as the insurance specialist in the office. Her goal is to get you the optimum benefits you are entitled to with the least amount of hassle. Her previous ten years experience as Staff Personnel and Payroll Manager for UCLA's Department of Pharmacology helps her keep the office running smoothly.

She and her husband have 4 children. The youngest is already planning to follow in her sister's footsteps and work at Dr. Shannon and Rimer's office the minute she is old enough.

 

 

Jessica is a native of Los Angeles and has been working as a receptionist for the past year. She enjoys greeting the patients and conducting the pre-testing.

She is the proud mother of 2 children ages 3 and 4 and would love to show you their pictures if you ask!

 

 Liz is an Optometric Assistant who has been working in the office for 5 years. She is currently pursuing her Board Certification in Opticianry. She enjoys handcrafting jewelry and spending time with her family.

Lisa is a Board Certified Optician and Contact Lens Technician. She graduated from Santa Monica College with two degrees and is currently attending UCLA with the hopes of becominga practicing Optometrist.

To keep up with her growing field while pursuing these goals, she works part-time assisting patients with their eyecare needs.

 

 

Kendra grew up in the practice and has been working the front office for two years now. She is best known for being part of the mother/daughter team in the office.

Kendra is currently working on her teaching credential at Cal State Northridge. She loves to spend her free time hanging out with the junior high youth group at her church.

 

Winnie has been associated with Dr. Mont for the past 9 years. She is a single parent of one son. She has been in health care related employment for the past 14 years and treats all of the patients in the practice as if they were her extended family and friends.
